The Kansas City Chiefs weren't always the Chiefs or even in Kansas City. When they were first founded in 1960 they were called the Dallas Texans.

They were named the chiefs in 1963. The founder of the chiefs was Lamar Hunt. The Chiefs were one of the original teams in the AFL.
