Monroe Students in Art Exhibition By: Mrs. Mueller

 

Monroe High School students have once again entered a number of works of art in the Miamisburg Art Guild Student Competition and Exhibition. The exhibition features works from high school students in this region. This year’s exhibition is located at the Miamisburg Art Gallery, 161 N. Main Street, in Miamisburg. The judging took place on Saturday, March 15. The awards were as follows: Josh Alsip, Honorable Mentions, Portrait & Animals; Cameron Arnett, Honorable Mention, Animals; Megan Long, 4th Place, Still Life. The exhibition hours are weekends 1-5 p.m. and nightly 5:30-8 p.m., March 15 through April 5. It is closed on Easter Sunday. Monroe students served as host/hostesses of the show on Tuesday, March
18. To get to the gallery from Monroe, take I-75 north to Route 725 west (or the Dayton Mall exit, but turn away from the Mall). Follow Route 725 west until it turns into First Street in Miamisburg. Follow First Street (it bears to the right) to the first stop light (Pearl Street). Turn left on Pearl Street, go one block and turn left onto Main Street. The Gallery is on the left.
