Lemon-Monroe high school had a long tradition of creating and preserving composite graduating class pictures dating back to 1906. Over the years some have been damaged or lost but Monroe High School still has about forty two years of graduation class pictures on display The composite pictures of Monroe's graduation class was started in 1928 and continued until 1999 Search the Lemon-Monroe High School Graduation images - SEARCH IMAGES Some of these images had been damaged , or deteriorated over the years, the LMHS class of 1955 stepped up to cover the costs of repair.
The Lemon-Monroe High School class of 1955 proposed digitizing these images to put on the monroelocalschools.com web site. Students in the Web Design I and II classes along with Mr. Burklow handled the conversion along with help from Craig Hesson at RCH Networks. In 1986 (100th graduating class) wanted to create a special composite to honor the 100th graduation class. Sometine after 1993 all of the picture composites were removed from the hall walls and placed in storage under the old gym.
Special thanks to Mr. Jay Hopkins for helping with our camera mount.
The earliest composites were produced by the Tobias Studio in Middletown, Ohio. All names and artwork were done by hand and are in surprisngly good condition. By the end of the 2016-2017 school we will have converted about 850 images and 19 graduation classes. Here is some samples of one of the images.
